M. Chabbi misses the goal

Mr Nejib Chabbi, the ex-regional  developement minister in his speech of resignation expressed fears tthat the army might take power. But the Tunisian army is no less than any other republican army worldwide. It’s  faithful to its principals and duties. It’s noteworthy to say that the army during the rule of Hbib Bourguiba, the first president of Tunisia never interfered in politics because Bourguiba wanted it a republican army and it didn’t interfere even during the final days of Bourguiba who was phisically unfit to lead the country, well to be more precise, it didn’t take power . It’s true that Ben Ali who took power in 1987 was once a general, but by the time ,he dethrowned Bourguiba, he was at the head of the government as a prime minister. Anyway,  One can not  put himself in the shoes of others but as far as i’ve heard, the army declared more than once that it intends to protect the people and the revolution of the people and that what has been  said is nothing more than rumours. I guess rumours formulated  by those who don’t like the new changes, those who don’t like to be judged for corruption and those who are against the revolutionary changes that are due to be set . My point is not about the army .it’s rather about the speech of resignation of Mr Chabbi in which he pointed to the his fears. Before the resignation of Mr Ghannouchi, there was a huge refusal of  this government that was enhanced by its inability to respond to the demands of the public mainly the question of corruption, the dissolution of parliament and the EX-governing party. Therefore a coalition led by the UGTT( trade unions), civil associations, judges,lawyers...etc pressured for resignation and imposed that a new government, a counsil for the protection of the revolution, and an other elected council  should be formed and that participants in the new government should not participate in the coming elections in order for them not to make electoral campaigns while in power. It’s following the demands of this coalition backed by the large sit-in in the Kasba that the government of Ghannouchi fell. I think that  Mr chebbi was pushed to resign.it wasn’t a bold move on his part so he had to make something out of this resignation. To digress the public from the real causes behind his resignation , he expressed his fears to appear as a man of democracy in the eyes of the public. But I say what I think Mr CHABBI failed his “first electoral campaign” when he chose the ministry of regional deveopment which could have acqauinted him with the regions across the country acquiring potential votes in each region. He was not in favour of the demands of the public that were recently formulated while he was in the government so he couldn’t back their demands. What can he make then  out of this imposed resignation: nothing except expressing his doubts towards the army. Again MrCHEBBI, you missed the goal.  we respect the army, but we also respect you , minister as a citizen who was once repressed by dictatorchip like any other citizen in Tunisia.
i'm a citizen not affiliated for any party and he who wants my vote has to prove that he really deserves it ( i do not defend the army and the army doesn't need my defense ) .a citizen who is happy with his newly born freedom and wants to speak his mind
